Hello

This will be very breif this week!
So this week was okay.

Minis- People that are preparing to serve a mission that haven´t gone yet.  For example, Elder Andrade has been a member for 6 months or so.  He is incredible, but President Oliveira wants a different mini to come in and so Elder Andrade is being replaced on wednesday by someone else for a week and a half from Fogo.  I am sad about that and so is he, but we can´t do anything about it.  This week we worked on building up an inventory because elder naylor and I split so we have to find lots of new people.  It is slow work, but we have three or four baptisms this week.  We didn´t have any last week because it was stake conference.
Church sunday was grand.  There were 8 of us, and 4 of them were missionaries.  It was good though.  It will be nice to have our branch back from a 2 day trip to an other island for stake conference.

We also went out to stregnthen recent converts a lot this week because we have been neglecting them.  It is hard when they live far away, but they need it. Distance is the biggest thing that holds this country back in every aspect.  It makes doing things the best way very slow.  It is okay though because the Lord knows what we need, and we have trials to help our faith.

Yeah.  Really Short. Sorry.

Go to the Temple.

And, pray to Make weak things strong unto you, Ether 12:27.  Then ACT to bring it to pass.
Love,
Elder Sampson

This Week

Hello!

So I was going to send a picture of all of the youth we teach in the street together but that will have to wait until I am on a computer that can fit my sd card reader.  They are good though.  It might be hard to get them to church though until it moves here so they can just show up instead of taking a 20 min car ride first.

So this week was good, but our baptisms were postponed.  Denise will be baptized this week, and Joaquim needs our prayers because he wont be baptized now, he wants to wait for a long while even though he knows he is ready.

So on Friday, we showed up to district meeting in Porto Novo and met Elder Drawe´s greenie, Justice Supreme White.  He is this black Elder from Virginia.  He is soulful.  Like 10 mins after we showed up, we were informed that we had to go to São Vicente saturday for a meeting with the zone, so we sayed the night there and took the boat the next morning, had a stellar meeting then came back that evening.  That hurt our area a little bit but we will have to live with that.  It was a great meeting!

So, on Thursday it is zone conference so we are going to São Vicente again, and it will be good.  We are coming back with minis, elder Naylor and I.  We will still be comps, but will not really do anything but planning and stuff together.  He will keep working near our house with all our investigators and I will go up into the mountains more and just stregnthen our members and less actives.

This week at church was great because we didn´t do anything for the first time in this branch´s history.  Progress.  Our numbers were down pretty low though.  We finally got a Branch Mission Leader!!!  I am super excited!!!

So this week´s spiritual though is about Charity.  We have been asked by our zone to teach our members about charity.  That will solve a lot of our problems.  So, I can´t teach y´all about charity, so you have to teach yourself and then apply it yourself!

Love,
Elder Sampson
